The Phuong Nam Film Company has bought the exclusive
rights to 50 songs performed by noted overseas singer Khanh Ly for the
next 15 years. The company and the singer recently signed a contract.
The Viet Nam Centre for Protection of Music Copyright (VCPMC) and the
concert organiser of Vietnamese overseas singer Khanh Ly have struck a
deal after a prolonged battle over copyright fees.
A battle is raging over copyright fees between the organiser of music
performances by Vietnamese overseas singer Khanh Ly and the Viet Nam
Centre for Protection of Music Copyright (VCPMC).
Following her first show in Ha Noi in May since she left the country in
1975, notable singer Khanh Ly is back for another live show in the city
tonight.
